Flowing Colors Studio - New Art Work for October 2017

 I hope you have enjoyed a great September.  We send loving thoughts to everyone touched by recent environmental events.

We invite you to visit us on Friday, October 6th, 2017 as  Flowing Colors Studio Celebrates First Anniversary with fresh new works for you to experience.  Some are the result of travels and some are the result of fresh thinking.  Come and share your thoughts with our artists.

Kathy Barton - Painting "Nature Day at Griffy Lake" for sale as an unframed piece at the studio located at 112 N. Walnut Street, In downtown Bloomington.  Kathy will be exhibiting at 2 additional locations during October.  The first event is the Bloomington Watercolor Society show opening at the Vault Mortgage Company, the First Friday of October. They are located on 6th Street in downtown Bloomington, between Walnut and Washington on 6th Street, just around the corner from the studio. 

Opening reception is the same time as the Flowing Colors Open Studio Reception, from 5 to 8 PM on October 6th.  The Watercolor show will run until the end of November.  Many paintings in the show were painted on location in Monroe County, or contain local subject matter.

Patricia C. Coleman’s new works include “Blue Thoughts” and hand painted silk scarves, and is celebrating the studio’s first year with a 10% discount on her art and Quilter’s Comfort teas and seasonings during first Friday arts opening.

Joanne Shank and Kathy Barton are participating in the 6th Annual Bloomington Open Studios Tour Saturday, October 21st – 10am-6pm and Sunday October, 22 – 10am to 4pm.  Stop by Flowing Colors Studio to meet the artist!

Most Flowing Colors Studio members are participating in the Bloomington Watercolor Show, so we will not have an arts demonstration this month.

Flowing Colors artist offer paintings, fabric art, home furnishings, accessories, one of a kind, silk and cotton scarves, prints, hand bound books,  tessellations, Quilter’s Comfort certified organic herbal products.

The studio is located on the second floor, above Caveat Emptor Book Sellers at 112 North Walnut Street, Suite 600 (beside Opie Taylor’s Restaurant.

Flowing Colors is open until 8pm on first Friday’s.  Regular hours are Thursday and Friday 2pm – 6pm; Saturdays are 1pm – 5pm and other times by appointment.  Flowing Color Studio artist are Kathy Barton, Patricia C. Coleman, Don Geyra, Joanne Shank and associates.  Light refreshments of savory scones and locally blended Quilter’s Comfort Tea will be served.
